WOOD Collection (MokuColle) 2026
The "WOOD Collection (MokuColle) 2026," held at Tokyo Big Sight West Halls 1 and 2, was a huge success as a large-scale exhibition where visitors could experience the potential of domestically produced timber. Approximately 300 exhibitors from 41 prefectures gathered at the venue, and Kiso also had a booth. Building materials and products utilizing wood, as well as the latest forestry technologies, were all on display. In the atrium, under the theme of "A Journey Through Japan's Forests," the unique timber and initiatives of each region were introduced. Visitors eagerly examined the differences between the production areas, picking up logs and processed products displayed on the stands. Lectures and award ceremonies were held on the main stage, showcasing new perspectives on the utilization of domestically produced timber and the expansion of business opportunities. Furthermore, meetings toward concrete transactions were taking place throughout the business negotiation spaces, and the venue was bustling with activity from beginning to end. The two days strongly impressed upon visitors the importance of domestically produced timber in supporting industry, society, and daily life.

10:00 AM - 4:00 PM: Exhibition and Sale (Times are different from last year)
We will be holding a lottery sale, dividing the items into three categories: small wooden crafts, tables and chairs, and storage furniture.
The detailed schedule is as follows:
Registration and distribution of raffle tickets: 10:00 AM - 1:30 PM
Voting deadline (small woodworking items): 12:30 PM
(Table and chairs) 13:00
(Storage furniture) 1:30 PM
After the voting deadline, draws will be held sequentially for each category.
Items to bring: Indoor shoes (slippers, etc.), product packaging materials (packaging materials will not be provided).
Payment: Cash only on the day of service.

20264.2.5.6 National Summit on Cable Logging Held in Kiso
The purpose is to disseminate the cable logging technology that has been developed in the forestry field to the entire country, and to ensure its continuation and advancement.
The first day included a keynote speech, various award ceremonies, presentations on best practices, and a panel discussion. Speakers included Professor Yasushi Suzuki of Kochi University, as well as forestry professionals from within and outside the prefecture, who presented their efforts to reduce costs, save labor, and improve safety. The venue also featured displays of the latest forestry machinery and product explanation booths. The second day included a field tour using a hydraulic logging machine, allowing attendees to experience firsthand the region's technological capabilities in overcoming steep terrain. The event opened its doors to forestry professionals nationwide, and the "path to the sky" that will pave the way for the future of forestry spread from Kiso to the rest of Japan.
